What should I do to someone whostole my books and refuses to give them back. Keep in mind that I have 12 days until I?m hunting Leprechauns?

But then what should I expect from a Lincolnite.

Try shaming as you just did...

Say, are you going to be in Amsterdam in time for this festival?

Cannabis Cup: A five-day "harvest festival" in Amsterdam
Marijuana activist and editor of High Times, Steven Hager: "I started the festival 21 years ago to establish a worldwide standard for quality of cannabis and it is held every Thanksgiving [fourth Thursday of November], and basically growers and breeders come to compete for the prize of the best harvest. If many other plants have harvest festivals then why shouldn't cannabis? Cannabis is on of the most revered plants on the planet despite the propaganda and campaign of persecution against it. And now we have an opportunity for people to get together and celebrate the plant and select the finest flower for the year. Do we have fun? Sure, there's a lot of pot smoking going on."

By use of the word "steal," I believe you are intending its connotation as "theft." This occurs when B, without the permission of A, acquires possession of the property of A with intent to deprive A of dominion over said property.

I think the more proper term here is "bailment," which occurs when A entrusts B with the care of custody of the care and custody of A without surrendering ownership.

In other words, I'll try to drop the book off this weekend (but remember, I'm more of a Sherman-ite than a Lincoln-ite)

I am glad to hear of your appreciation of General Sherman. Lincoln should have had 1/2 dozen Shermans and the insurrection would have been over in 6 months. McClellan, what an ass.

    <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Insurrection my ass.

Sherman was a butcher and if the north lost would have been tried with Lincoln for war crimes.

Now Trav, be honest with me- if we took a poll of those who abhor Sherman and what he did, and asked them what they think about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I bet the vast majority of them would fully support it.

And I have always found several historical parallels between Sherman's march and the a-bombs. Both were controversial, both resulted in the deaths of civilians, but both brought about an end to the war (which, actually, resulted in lives being saved over the long-run). Sherman reached Savannah on Christmas 1864, and the surrender took place 4 months later. The second a-bomb was dropped on August 9, and surrender took place on September 1. I know they're not completely parallel, but there are some similarities.

I'll see if I can drop your book off on Saturday. I'm keeping the photo album of Gae, however, as I was led to believe that those pics were given to me....
